This piece shows that we share a home but are divided by race. My artwork is intended to show that even though we all share the earth as our home, we are not all treated equally and i show this through the divided planet. The outstretched hands are meant to represent the connections that have been made through all people of all colors around the world. And although we have made progress, there are still many people who do not receive the love and care they should. They are discarded by people who believe color determines your worth which is completely wrong. I used a collage because it is a good way to show the diverseness we have in the world.
