Frank Lloyd Wright
Frank Lloyd Wright was an American architect, designer, writer, and educator. He designed more than 1,000 structures over a creative period of 70 years.
He is most known for creating "organic" designs that are meant to blend in with their natural surroundings.

No structure epitomizes Wright’s “organic” approach like Fallingwater, the 1937 house in Pennsylvania. Unesco designated it a World Historic site this past July.

Exercise: Practice working with geometric shapes and color with this simple task.

Frank Lloyd Wright was inspired by the geometry and patterns found in nature. Explore your garden for flowers or look online for images. Look at the shapes that make up the petals and leaves of the flowers. What shapes can you see? Use construction paper to cut out simple shapes: rectangles, squares, triangles, rhombuses, and circles. With a glue stick, combine shapes to form flowers or other plants.
