Stencils and Silhouettes
Stencils and Street Art
Many artists use stencils in their work. Artists use stencils primarily for the ability to reproduce complex designs quickly and accurately, especially in large-scale or public art projects. Stencils also allow for the creation of multiple identical images, making them ideal for street art and other applications where repetition is desired.

We will be creating mixed-media artwork using stencils of our own silhouettes.
We will consider
• layering media
• using color to make a composition more interesting and symbolic
• having our art express ourselves
