Phototaxis

When I first became a mother and was home recovering from surgery/taking care of a newborn, my photo ops (beyond the beautiful newborn before me) were limited. I took to photographing the bugs that visited the light at night and created many montages of them. I have consistently returned to this practice and was very fond of the process and results.


With every photo session of "Vacationland" I undertake toward my initial research project idea, the more it is clear to me that I am not enthusiastic about the proposal.

I am looking toward other ideas to pursue, instead, and the idea of phototaxis keeps returning as a point of interest.
